WE CONNECT – EVENT TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms & Conditions apply to all WE Connect events, workshops, summits, and related activities delivered by Westend Business Hub and its affiliated partners.

By registering for or attending a WE Connect event, you agree to the following conditions.

1. Ticket Transfers

Tickets may be transferred to another person at no additional cost.
Transfer requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected] no later than 48 hours prior to the event date.
Transfer requests made within 48 hours of the event are not guaranteed, as registration and catering numbers may have already been confirmed.

2. Cancellations & Refund Requests

Refund requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected].
Refunds will only be granted if requested at least 10 full business days prior to the scheduled event date.
Approved refunds will incur a $10.00 cancellation administration fee.
Ticketing platform or transaction fees are non-refundable.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 10 business days of the event. This includes absences due to illness, travel disruptions, work commitments, emergencies, or other personal circumstances.

3. Event Cancellation or Rescheduling

If WE Connect cancels an event, all registered participants will be offered a full refund (excluding third-party ticketing platform fees).
If an event is rescheduled, all registrations will automatically transfer to the new date.
Participants who cannot attend the rescheduled date may request a full refund (excluding platform fees) in writing within 10 business days of being notified.

4. Photography, Videography & Media Release

By attending any WE Connect event, participants consent to the capturing and use of photography, videography, and audio recordings by WE Connect, Westend Business Hub, West Plus Media, Westend Photography, and affiliated contractors.
Content may be used for promotional, editorial, educational, and community purposes across digital, print, broadcast, and social media channels.
Participants who do not wish to be photographed or recorded must notify organisers in writing at least 48 hours before the event.
While reasonable efforts will be made to honour such requests, full exclusion from media cannot be guaranteed in group settings or public venues.

5. Program Changes

Event programs, speakers, venues, formats, and schedules are subject to change without notice due to factors outside WE Connect’s control.
WE Connect is not liable for direct or indirect financial losses (including travel, accommodation, or business disruption costs) resulting from event changes, delays, or cancellations.
In cases of postponement or venue change due to extreme weather, illness, emergencies, or public health restrictions, reasonable efforts will be made to notify participants promptly.

6. Code of Conduct

WE Connect is committed to providing a respectful, safe, and inclusive environment. Participants agree to:

Behave professionally and ethically at all times.
Refrain from discriminatory, harassing, abusive, or disrespectful conduct toward other attendees, staff, or speakers.
Treat all participants with courtesy and respect during sessions and networking.

WE Connect reserves the right to refuse entry or remove individuals who breach this Code of Conduct without refund.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WE Connect excludes all liability for any injury, loss, damage, or expenses incurred by participants.
Participants are responsible for their own belongings, health, and well-being during events.

8. Public Health Compliance

Participants must comply with all current local and federal public health advice and venue policies.
Participants experiencing symptoms of infectious illness should not attend and should notify organisers immediately.

9. Privacy & Data Security

Personal information collected for event registration will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Information is stored securely, accessed by authorised personnel only, and retained only as required for operational or legal purposes.
