The Story Behind WE Connect Events

WE Connect Events was born from a simple but powerful idea:

Meaningful business growth happens when people connect with purpose.

2021

The journey began in 2021 with the establishment of Westend Business Hub in the heart of Werribee, founded by Serial entrepreneur Imran Abul Kashem. The vision was clear from day one. Create a space where local businesses, founders, and professionals could come together, share ideas, and grow alongside each other.

2022

In 2022, that vision evolved into action. Imran launched local business networking events hosted in the event room at Westend Business Hub. These monthly gatherings quickly became a meeting point for entrepreneurs and business owners across Wyndham.

2025

By 2025, the demand spoke for itself. Attendance had grown beyond the capacity of the Business Hub, prompting the events to move to Notorious Espresso, allowing over 100 participants to attend each session.

2026

In 2026, responding to growing expectations and a more diverse audience, Wyndham Entrepreneur Connect Events moved to the Holiday Inn, Werribee, the area’s only premium business event venue.

Today

Today, WE Connect Events continues to evolve. The focus expands into themed evenings centred on collaboration and partnership, fostering strategic relationships and long-term business impact.

From a local hub to a premium regional platform, WE Connect Events remains committed to one core mission:

Our Founder

Imran Abul Kashem

Founder, WE Connect

Wyndham Entrepreneur Connect was founded by Imran Abul Kashem, a serial entrepreneur and award‑winning creative with a deep belief in the power of community‑led growth.

As the founder of the Westend brand ecosystem, Imran has spent years working alongside business owners, startups, and creatives across Melbourne’s west. Through this work, one thing became clear: while opportunities were growing, genuine spaces for connection, support, and collaboration were not.

WE Connect was created to change that.

Imran’s vision is to build environments where entrepreneurs feel confident, grounded, and supported, spaces that prioritise human connection, wellbeing, and long‑term success over hustle culture and hard selling.

Today, WE Connect stands as a reflection of that vision: a place where ambition is encouraged, relationships are valued, and success is shared.
